Mac Will Not Print Pdf

In Preview, you can print some or all pages in a PDF, print several selected images on the same sheet of paper, and choose whether to include the document’s notes when printing.
- Choose Adobe PDF as the printer in the Print dialog box. To customize the Adobe PDF printer setting, click the Properties (or Preferences) button. (In some applications, you may need to click Setup in the Print dialog box to open the list of printers, and then click Properties or Preferences.).
- Instead of a physical printer, you can select Adobe PDF in almost any Windows or Mac OS application. Print to PDF creates an electronic copy of your file that you can save to disk. Note: Printing a file to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer flattens the file.
- Choose “File” “Print”. Choose “Adobe PDF” from the list of printers in the print dialogue box. Click 'Print' to use the Acrobat PDF printer. Click “OK” and enter a new file name for your PDF.
You can open and print a document with Preview even if you don’t have the app that created it.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF or image you want to print.
If you want to print multiple files, you can open them in one Preview window.
To print only some of the PDF or image pages, choose View > Thumbnails, then Command-click the thumbnails for the pages you want to print.
Choose File > Print.
Choose print options (if you don’t see them, click Show Details):
To print only selected thumbnails, select Selected Pages in Sidebar or Selected Images in Sidebar.
To print the same image or page multiple times on a sheet of paper, click the “Copies per page” pop-up menu, then choose a number.
To rotate images or pages automatically so they fill up as much of the paper as possible, choose Auto Rotate.
To scale an image or page, select Scale, then enter a percentage.
To fill as much of the paper as possible, select Scale to Fit, then select Print Entire Image if you don’t want the image cropped, or Fill Entire Paper if you want the image cropped to the proportions of the paper.
If notes are visible in a PDF’s window, select Show Notes to include them in the printout.
Click Print.
I have been working on this for a couple of days an no one seems to be able to help me. I want to be able to add a printer that will allow me to convert to pdf for iMac. Before you answer - realize it is more complicated than you think. I am using a remote desktop program that is PC based. The remote desktop recognizes any printers I add, which is good. But as you know, the configuration of a print option for PC vs. MAC is very different. With a MAC, the OS X system automatically gives me the option to save as a pdf and is a separate function of the printing. Whereas, with a PC, I just need to 'print to pdf.' I have tried different APPS which add this to my MAC and it works on the MAC side. Examples include PDFWRITER and PDF PRINTER. These are two softwares I installed on my mac and functioned well and actually added drivers. The problem is, that these two programs do not ask me for a destination - thus when I am using remote desktop - I also do not get a destination question and so it appears to be created - but there is nowhere to find it and I have tried multiple searches to locate it - even *.pdf, and it doesn't work...To make a long story short - I need a pdf printer driver that has a functioning of asking me for the desired destination of my pdf...please help!
